The official program for the 2019 KelledyJones Lawyers Eyre Peninsula Local Government Association Conference, which will be hosted by the District Council of Kimba on 25-26 February 2019, is now available.

Mayor Dean Johnson said Council was looking forward to welcoming more than 150 delegates to Kimba for the event, adding that the 82nd celebration of the role local government played across the region also provided a prime opportunity to recognise some of the achievements the EPLGA's 11 member councils had recorded over the past year.

With many delegates using the conference as a way to explore the heart of the Eyre Peninsula, Mayor Johnson said that Kimba residents would be more than happy to provide local expertise to enhance their visit.

"Whether you’re here for a day, the entire conference or plan to extend your stay to see what the Kimba district has to offer, I hope you enjoy your stay," he said.

"We pride ourselves on being a pretty friendly lot here, so don’t be afraid to ask if you want some local tips on what makes Kimba the envy of the Eyre Peninsula."

Festivities will commence with the MasterPlan Informal Dinner at Kimba Golf Club on 25 February, with the conference to be held at the Kimba Soldiers Memorial Institute the following day, ahead of the always-popular Cavpower Gala Dinner at the Kimba Recreation Reserve on the night of 26 February.
